North Star Medical Transport

was founded in 2017 with the goal to provide safe, exceptional, compassionate and timely patient care. We strive to provide comfort and peace of mind for our patients and the family members of those needing frequent medical transportation. North Star is certified by the state of Georgia to provide ambulance services throughout the state. North Star is also a national provider for Medicaid and Medicare services, certified through The National Provider Identifier system (also known as NPI). The National Provider Identifier (NPI) is a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Administrative Simplification Standard. The NPI is a unique identification number for covered health care providers. All North Star ambulances are fully equipped to handle any emergency or non-emergency situation our crews could encounter.

Services

Nursing Homes

North Star's team of EMT’s and Paramedics provide emergency, non-emergency, critical care, and stretcher transports to patients at nursing homes located throughout North Georgia. We operate 24 hours a day and have become a trusted partner to many nursing homes who rely on us to provide prompt, professional, and compassionate care to their patients.

Hospice

North Star's staff operate 24 hours a day and provide professional and compassionate care to the patients of hospice facilities throughout North Georgia. We provide additional training to our staff members to prepare them to better serve hospices patients by increasing their sensitivity to the needs of our patients and their families.

Hospital Transports

We provide hospitals with a comprehensive transportation package. Our experienced management team and staff provide emergency, non-emergency, critical care, and stretcher transports to patients. Our management team designs comprehensive transportation plans for hospitals seeking to control costs and provide the highest possible level of patient care.

Dialysis Transport

Dialysis can be a heavy burden on people, North Star uses professionalism to lesson that burden. Employing only caring and courteous employees. Here at North Star we strive to treat our patients as family members.

Treatments

North Star provides EMS transports to and from Wound care, Surgical appointments and Hyperbaric chamber appointments.

Special Events

North Star provides EMS services for several types of special events. run & walk, 5k's, marathons, movies sets and commercials.
